Accounting is the systematic recording, reporting, and analysis of financial transactions of a business.
Mathematics (colloquially, maths, or math), is the body of knowledge centered on concepts such as quantity, structure, space, and change, and also the academic discipline that studies them. Benjamin Peirce called it “the science that draws necessary conclusions”.
I chose the word accumath for my term extension. My career major is accounting, which as we all know conists of alot of math, figuring, and numbers. Accounting is Math!!!! Not only do you have to have good math skills, but you must have knowldge, power, and the know-how to be an excellent accountant, also.
Culture takes the tastes in art and manners that are favored by a social group; therefore, numbers and knowledge must be the art of accounting.

Condition of Modern Life
Technology is a condition of life inherited from previous generations. Cell phones and computers are prime examples. Cell phones have changed the new way of communications. You can talk to anyone anywhere with a push of a button. Nevertheless, when it does not work we feel lost and unable to decide what to do. This is different from the landlines that we used in previous years.
The self-scan registers at the local grocery stores, we have become such a rushed culture we do not even have time to let someone ekes check us out. The dong it our self is great however, one never thinks about these machines taking the jobs of local workers. I am sure that the companies that have them love to think of the wages that they do not have to pay. So while the convince of technology is great, often we come to relay on it all to often and lose site of the jobs that are lost because of it.
